Happy 25th Anniversary, Wilderness Trail!
2012 marks an exciting milestone for Wilderness Trail- 25 years!
That’s twenty-five years of stinky socks (let’s be honest…stinky hikers), swimming in creeks, making new friends, and sharing little foxes and holy grounds. Twenty-five years of journeying with Christ in the wilderness.
This year we are looking ahead with anticipation to three off-site Winter Events in Florida, new potential for renting our Property during the off-season, Spring, Summer and Fall Events at our Virginia property and partnering with over 40 churches throughout these four seasons to witness (as Isaiah 43:1 notes) “a new thing” springing forth in the youth and adults through the Holy Spirit. We are excited to head into our first full year of a transformed landscape through the new construction as well as our first full year of mortgage payments.

Register Now for Winter Events!
Thermometers and weather patterns might indicate otherwise, but winter is upon us and for Wilderness Trail that means heading south to Florida for weekend backpacking ministry.
There are three events this winter with Wilderness Trail. February 17-19 and March 2-4 in Ocala National Forest out of Mill Dam Recreation Area and March 16-18 in Blackwater River State Forest out of Paquette Group Campground. WT Youth Rally in Charlotte
On Sunday evening (January 22nd) over 40 youth from Longtown UMC, Morningstar UMC, and Dilworth UMC gathered in the Dilworth Fellowship Hall for a hot dog feast, classic WT group games (Star Wars and Clump), stories from seasoned hikers, and a boisterous time of worship. Thanks goes out to the youth and counselors who came… looking forward to seeing you on the mountainside this spring and summer!
